ON THE RECORD WITH COACH LYNCH
"Tough one today. I thought that we played hard. We didn't execute very well. We made some mistakes that you can't come back from against a good football team. I thought our defense really battled, specifically in the second half. I think they would like to add some plays back in the first half. We did a good job of keeping the numbers down, the score down in the first half, but they played really well in the second half. They did everything for us to win offensively. Just stubbed our toe too many times, never got into a rhythm.
Obviously, the turnovers were killers, especially early in downs, and there were first down plays. Sometimes you can live with it if it's a third down play and you're trying to push the ball down the field or something like that. We've been awesome in turnover margin, been the best in the country but today we certainly weren't, and you see what the result is. I like this group a lot. I think we'll bounce back. A lot of football left, and we got to get back to the drawing board this week."
