MATCH NOTES
INDIANAPOLIS – Butler will play two road matches this weekend. It is the last true BIG EAST road trip of the 2019 campaign. The 'Dawgs will play at Seton Hall on Friday night at 7 PM. The match will stream on BEDN. Sunday afternoon, BU will play a pivotal match at ST. John's. First serve is scheduled for 12 PM.

Melody Davidson ranks second in the BIG EAST in blocks per set (1.13).
- Butler ranks third in the conference in blocks per set (2.19).

Brooke Gregory notched a season-high eight blocks in the first meeting vs. St. John's.
- Davidson led Butler with 20 kills last weekend. She posted a team-best .417 hitting percentage.
- Butler ranks second in opponent hitting percentage (.187).

Anna Logan ranks 7th all-time at Butler with 1,445 career kills. She needs 15 more to move into 6th.
- Logan and
Elizabeth LaBue each recorded four service aces in the 3-2 win at DePaul.
- LaBue now ranks third in the BIG EAST in digs per set (4.78).
- BU leads the conference in digs per set (15.79).

Megan Ramseyer has a service ace in three-straight matches.
- Gregory hit .583 vs. Marquette with eight kills on just 12 swings with one error.
- Davidson's best hitting percentage this season came at DePaul. She collected 13 kills in 19 attempts (.579).

Megan Sheridan has 24 kills over her last three matches.
- Butler is tied for fourth in the BIG EAST standings along with St. John's.
- Butler defeated St. John's in the first meeting 3-1.
SCOUTING SETON HALL: The Pirates have lost seven-straight matches and are now 2-10 against BIG EAST opponents. They lost 3-0 last weekend to both Providence and #9 Creighton. Seton Hall has only won two sets since Oct. 11. Haylee Gasser is the best offensive player on the roster. The senior leads the Pirates with 255 kills. Amanda Rachwal is another student-athlete to keep an eye on. She ranks second on the team with 199 kills and leads SHU in blocks with 58. Maggie Cvelbar sets up the attack and Raygan Murray is the team leader of the defense.
Reece Koehler played well at Hinkle Fieldhouse for Seton Hall in the first meeting vs. Butler. She ended the match with seven kills and a .375 attack percentage.
ALL-TIME SERIES VS. SETON HALL: Butler leads the all-time series against Seton Hall 8-5. The Bulldogs have won the last five meetings.
SCOUTING ST. JOHN'S: The Red Storm have the same conference record as the Bulldogs at 7-5. They were swept in the regular season by nationally-ranked programs Marquette and Creighton. Their only other conference loss came at Butler on Oct. 11 (3-1). The Johnnies serve aggressively as a team and are also tough at the net. They rank second in the conference in both service aces per set (1.59) and blocks per set (2.20). Butler will have to game plan for Efrosini Alexakou. The sophomore outside hitter ranks second in the conference in kills per set (4.14). Erica DiMaulo and Amanda Sanabia are also impact players on the STJ roster. DiMaulo leads the team with 36 aces and doubles as the team leader in assists with 854. Sanabia has 30 aces this season and a team-best 352 digs.
ALL-TIME SERIES VS. ST. JOHN'S: Butler is up in the all-time series vs. St. John's 9-4. The Red Storm swept Butler during the regular season in 2018, but the 'Dawgs responded this year with a 3-1 victory at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
St. John's hit .071 vs. Butler in the first meeting. The Bulldogs recorded a season-high 15 team blocks in the victory.
NCAA ACTIVE CAREER LEADERS: Anna Logan ranks 20th in the country in career kills with 1,445. The only other BIG EAST player listed in the Top-20 is Marquette's Allie Barber. She ranks seventh with 1,710.
ELIZABETH IS EVERYWHERE: Elizabeth LaBue ranks 39th in the NCAA in total digs with 454. She is averaging 4.78 digs per set, which ranks third in the league and 54th in the NCAA.
Elizabeth LaBue was named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week in back-to-back weeks (10/22, 10/29).
DAVIDSON PROVIDES DEFENSE: Melody Davidson has 107 total blocks in 2019. She leads the conference in that category and ranks 28th in the country.
Davidson has 17 solo blocks in 2019. She ended her freshman campaign with just four.
RPI POLL: Butler ranks 162nd in the latest RPI Poll. They are chasing Xavier (149) and St. John's (78) on the list.
SENIOR LEADERSHIP: Anna Logan (303) and
Brooke Gregory (296) rank first and second on the team in points scored this season. Those two combined have scored 2,797 points at Butler during their standout careers.
Gregory's highest point total came in 2017 as a sophomore (320). Logan scored 659 points in 2016.

Logan and Gregory are seniors that have impacted games from since their freshmen seasons. Logan has played in 426 sets at BU. Gregory has been involved in 397.
UP NEXT: Butler will host Providence on Friday, Nov. 15 at 6 PM. The weekend will come to a close with a 1 PM match vs. #9 Creighton on Sunday, Nov. 17.
Butler will play three of their final four matches of the regular season at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
REGULAR SEASON FINALE: The final weekend of the 2019 regular season will be a unique one. Butler will play at Xavier on Nov. 22 at 7 PM. The very next day they will host the Musketeers at 6 PM.
