Butler men's tennis increased its winning streak to nine on Friday, sweeping Wright State and Grand Valley State, 7-0. The Bulldogs are now 13-4 on the season.

The Bulldogs completed their first sweep of the day, taking down the Wright State Raiders, 7-0.

Mason Dragos and Ryan Roegner tallied the first win of the day at the No. 1 doubles court, defeating Lorenzo Maccarini and Param Pun, 6-0. Thomas Brennan and Spencer Lang clinched the point with a 6-2 win at the No. 3 court.

Brennan began the sweep in singles play with a convincing, straight set win over Maccarini, 6-1, 6-2. Lang also battled at the No. 4 court with a 6-4, 7-5 win over Leighton Brandon. Aviv Ben Shabat came from behind to clinch the match at the No. 3 court, with a 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 victory over Javier de la Villa.

Dragos battled in the No. 1 spot, coming back from a 6-3 loss in the first set to win 6-4, 6-2 over Pun. Adrian Mag and Roegner both defeated their opponents in straights sets the No. 5 and 6 courts, respectively.

In the Bulldogs second sweep of the day, Ben Shabat and Mag tallied the first doubles win in the No. 2 spot, defeating Jack Geissler and Martin Matov, 6-2. Brennan and Lang clinched the doubles point at the No. 3 court with a 6-2 win over Jack Dausman and Nicholas Urban.

The first win in singles play came at the No. 4 spot with Lang taking down Matov in straight sets 6-0, 6-2. Dragos continued his dominance in the No. 1 spot, notching a 6-2, 6-2 win over Sebastien Lescoulie. Brennan was also victorious in the No. 2 spot, clinching the match with a 7-5, 6-4 win.

Ben Shabat posted his second win of the day in three sets, 6-3, 4-6, 6-0. Roegner had a convincing win in the No. 6 spot over Eric Zwemer, 6-0, 6-1. Mag wrapped up the match with a win over DJ Colantone 6-1, 6-2 in the No. 5 spot.

The Bulldogs return to the court on March 22, hosting IUPUI at 1 p.m. Butler will make the trip to Valparaiso the following day to battle the Knights at 2 p.m.
