Butler's Patrick Allgeier has been tabbed BIG EAST Male Golfer of the Week, as announced by the conference office Thursday, March 21.
 
Allgeier was Butler's top performer at the Bobby Nichols Invitational hosted by Tennessee Tech. He shot a 5-over-par 221 (71-74-76) that tied for 32nd place.  As a team, the Bulldogs took 11th place with a total of 32-over-par in the 54-hole event that ran Sunday through Tuesday.
 
This is the second BIG EAST weekly honor of the season for Allgeier, who also received the accolade Oct. 4 after his performance at the Butler Fall Invitational.     
 
The Bulldogs return to action April 1-2 at the Butler Fall Invitational, which will take place at Highland Golf Club.
