The Butler men's and women's golf teams will spend Spring Break playing three events, including hosting the annual Benbow Invitational in Jacksonville, Fla.
Butler's three events will take place over nine days, beginning Monday (March 11).
The Benbow Invitational is set for the Blue Sky Golf Course in Jacksonville. The men and women will play 18 holes on both Monday and Tuesday with 8:30 a.m. shotgun starts scheduled for both days. The event is named for Don Benbow, the Butler Athletics Hall of Famer who had a storied career at Butler as both a coach and administrator.

Butler's men will be joined in the field by Evansville, Chicago State, Western Illinois, Eastern Illinois, Albany State, and Northwood. The course will be set up at 6,784 yards.

The women's field includes Butler, Evansville, Youngstown State, Radford, Western Illinois, Northwood, Illinois-Springfield, and Eckerd on the 6,102-yard Blue Sky course.

On the men's side, coach
Bill Mattingly will enlist a line-up of

Michael Cascino,
Augie Hartnagel, and freshman
Raymond Sullivan.
Nick Williams will play as an individual.
For the women, the Butler five will include
Lauren Tibbets,
Megan Skoog,
Katelyn Le,
Ally Ross, and
Claire Edwards.
Betsy Werner and
Nicole Jordan will play as individuals.
The Bulldogs will then travel north to the Savannah Invitational, hosted by Savannah State University.
To round up the trip, Butler will head to Sevierville, Tenn. to play in the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate. The event will be played at Sevierville Golf Club – River Course. The host school is Tennessee Tech. The three rounds span Sunday, March 17 through Tuesday, March 19.
In the most recent action for the Butler men, the team posted a T-10 finish at the Invitational at Savannah Harbor, where they were led by Sabins (five-over in his 72 holes of play).
The women most recently competed in Kiawah Island in late February. The Bulldogs finished tied for 33rd in the 49-team tournament.
