Junior
Patrick Allgeier paced the Bulldogs with an eighth-place finish at the Wright State Invitational.
Allgeier posted rounds of even-par 70 Sunday and 73 Monday for his total of 143 (+3). His Monday round featured an eagle and two birdies on the Heatherwoode Golf Club course in Springboro, Ohio. Â
Butler climbed into a tie for ninth Monday in the 12-team field. The Bulldogs improved 10 strokes from their Sunday team round of 381 to post a 371 Monday. The format featured six players with five scores counting.
Butler finished the 36 holes at 752 (+52). That equaled Ohio. Wittenberg won the event at 721 (+21).
Freshman
Raymond Sullivan was the second finisher for the Bulldogs, coming in T-27
th. Sullivan had rounds of 75 and 74 to finish at nine-over 149.
Logan Sabins shot a 36-hole total of 150 (+10), highlighted by Sunday's 73. He finished in a tie for 36
th.
Augie Hartnagel shot 73 Monday to finish at 152 (+12) and in a tie for 44
th.
Nick Williams and
Michael Cascino finished in a tie for 74
th at 160 (+20).
Fort Wayne's Zach Schroeder took individual honors with a 36-hole total of four-under 136. Schroeder shot 69 Monday to follow up his Sunday 67. He bettered Northern Kentucky's Jacob Poore by one shot.
The event was originally scheduled for 54 holes, but Sunday's 36 holes were shortened to 18 due to rain.
Next up for the Bulldogs is the 2019 BIG EAST Championships. The event will be played in Callawassie Island, S.C., April 26-28.
