@ButlerMBB to Open 2019-20 Regular Season November 6, Hosting IUPUI

Butler will open the 2019-20 men's basketball regular season Wednesday, Nov. 6, hosting IUPUI at Hinkle Fieldhouse.

The remainder of the Bulldogs' non-conference opponents will be announced over the coming weeks. Game times and television assignments for all games will be released in September.

The Bulldogs and IUPUI last played Dec. 28, 2015, a game that Butler won at home. The Bulldogs are 5-0 in the all-time series, which dates back to the 1997-98 season. The two campuses are separated by only six miles in Indianapolis.

IUPUI went 16-17 a season ago, playing in the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament (CIT). The 2019-20 season will be the third for the Jaguars as a member of the Horizon League.

The two head coaches – Butler's LaVall Jordan and IUPUI's Jason Gardner – have a strong relationship that dates back to their playing days during the 2000-01 season when Jordan's Bulldogs and Gardner's Arizona Wildcats played twice, including in the second round of the 2001 NCAA Tournament.

Butler, coming off its fifth consecutive postseason appearance, returns four starters for the 2019-20 season. That includes All-BIG EAST guard Kamar Baldwin.

Season tickets for the Bulldogs' 2019-20 season are on sale now. Fans interested in purchasing season tickets can contact the Butler Athletics Ticket Office at (317) 940-DOGS or tickets@butler.edu.

Butler's home schedule includes all nine BIG EAST rivals as well as a visit to Hinkle Fieldhouse by Florida and a Big Ten opponent as part of the Gavitt Tipoff Games.
