Two student-athletes and the team as a whole were recognized for their performance in the classroom as the Butler's men's tennis team earned academic awards from the ITA for the 2018-19 season.
As a team, the Bulldogs earned the ITA All-Academic Team award, which is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). All varsity letter winners were factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year (including fall 2018 and spring 2019).
Individually,
Michael Dickson and
Michael Karr were named to the ITA Scholar-Athlete list.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must meet the following requirements:
- Have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year.
- Be listed on the institutional eligibility form.
