Butler has announced its Spring 2021 women's soccer schedule, which will feature the Bulldogs hosting eight matches and a divisional set-up for BIG EAST play.

Butler will open the 2021 season with four Indianapolis-based non-conference games, starting with a match-up against Ball State at Grand Park in Westfield, Ind. The Bulldogs will then welcome Marian for a mid-week home opener on Wednesday Feb. 17.

A few days later, Butler will host Dayton in their only night game of the season on Sunday Feb. 21, also at Grand Park. The following weekend, the Bulldogs will play Notre Dame on Saturday Feb. 27 at the Sellick Bowl to close out the non-conference portion of the schedule.

For BIG EAST play, both men's and women's soccer will play divisional schedules with six teams in the East (Connecticut, Georgetown, Providence, St. John's, Seton Hall and Villanova) and five teams in the Midwest (Butler, Creighton, DePaul, Marquette and Xavier). The divisional teams will play home and home matches against each divisional opponent. Schedules have two bye weeks built in for rescheduling purposes if necessary.

The Bulldogs' first conference match will be Thursday, March 4 when Butler hosts DePaul. The BIG EAST women's soccer championship takes place April 14-18 and will be hosted by Providence.

Co-head coaches
Tari St. John and
Rob Alman enter their ninth season leading the Bulldogs. Butler has advanced to the post-season in six of the last seven years, including five consecutive BIG EAST tournament appearances, three conference championship games, two trips to the NCAA tournament and a 2015 BIG EAST title.

This year's squad features an experienced roster, returning nine of 11 starters, including 2019 All-BIG EAST selections
Katie Soderstrom,
Anja Savich and
Aliya Diagne. Soderstrom and Savich were also named to the All-Region Third Team.
