Box Score The men's tennis team fell at the University of Indianapolis Sunday evening, 5-2. The Greyhounds swept all three doubles matches for the first point of the contest, followed by wins at the No. 1, No. 2, No. 4 and No. 6 singles flights.
UIndy defeated the Bulldogs in all three doubles. In singles, Filip Tensing and Michael Karr picked up Butler's two victories in the No. 3 and No. 5 flights, respectively. Tensing, along with Thomas Brennan at the No. 1 and Alvaro Huete Vadillo at the No. 4, forced third sets in their flights.
Borja Miralles played his first match of the season after joining the Butler in the summer of 2020. Trimpe, who mainly saw action in doubles during his freshman season, appeared in his first singles match as a Bulldog.
Butler returns to action Friday, Feb. 19 at home against Southern Methodist. First serve of doubles is set for 5 PM.
