The Butler women's lacrosse team will host Connecticut in their first BIG EAST home series of the season, starting with a 3 p.m. game on Friday, March 26 at Varsity Field. The Bulldogs and Huskies will close the weekend with a noon match-up on Sunday, March 28.

For Butler, the home series is one of just two BIG EAST home weekends on the 2021 schedule. Both games will be streamed live on the Butler Athletics YouTube channel.

Bulldog Bits
- Both Campbell Connors and Kayla Kielbasa have scored a goal in all three games so far this season.
- Lindsey Schreiber led the team with two of Butler's five goals in the Bulldog's most recent loss at Denver.
- Seven different Bulldogs scored in Butler's season opener loss to Robert Morris. KK Callaghan, Karina Latsko and Campbell Connors recorded two goals apiece.
- In 2020, Butler ranked No. 8 nationally across NCAA Division I in scoring defense, allowing just 8.29 goals per game.
- Offensively, the Bulldogs outscored their opponents 97-58 last season.
- The Bulldogs set six single-game team records and two single-game individual records in 2020.
- Butler returns nine starters from the 2020 roster, including leading scorer Gabryelle Bodine, who tabbed 18 goals and 22 total points for the Bulldogs last spring.
- The Bulldogs return three players who earned BIG EAST Weekly Awards last season in goalie Amanda Rumsey and attackers Kaley Attaway and Connors.
- Three current Bulldogs, Ashley Guerra, Amanda Rumsey, and Katie McGrath, hold at least one individual career record in Butler's program history.
- Guerra holds a total of five offensive individual career records. She also holds five single-season records and four single-game records.

Butler dropped their first BIG EAST weekend series at conference-leading Denver, falling to 0-3 on the year. Lindsey Schrieber scored twice in game two for the Bulldogs over the weekend, netting two in Sunday's loss.

Scouting the Huskies                                                                                          Â
The Huskies enter Friday's contest at 6-2 on the year with their only losses coming against Hofstra (11-17) and a close call in overtime at Massachusetts (14-15). Sydney Watson and Lia LaPrise serve as the batteries of the Huskies' offense. Watson leads the team with 30 goals while LaPrise has a team-high 36 points off 19 goals and 17 assists.

UConn is coming off a weekend road sweep at Marquette in their first BIG EAST series of the year.

Campbell Connors and

Butler vs. UConn                                                                  Â
Friday's match-up will be the third meeting between the Bulldogs and Huskies since Butler's 2017 inaugural season. Connecticut leads the all-time series 2-0, with their last win coming in March of 2018.

UConn rejoined the BIG EAST during the summer of 2020. The women's lacrosse team was an affiliate member of the conference from 2017-2018.

New BIG EAST Format                                                                      Â
This season, women's lacrosse will play a Friday – Sunday schedule in which the teams will play their opponents twice in one weekend. The schedule spans seven weekends with two makeup weekends built in. The championship will be hosted by Georgetown, May 6 and May 8.
