Last Time Out
Butler dropped their first BIG EAST weekend series at conference-leading Denver, falling to 0-3 on the year. Lindsey Schrieber scored twice in game two for the Bulldogs over the weekend, netting two in Sunday's loss.

Scouting the Huskies
The Huskies enter Friday's contest at 6-2 on the year with their only losses coming against Hofstra (11-17) and a close call in overtime at Massachusetts (14-15). Sydney Watson and Lia LaPrise serve as the batteries of the Huskies' offense. Watson leads the team with 30 goals while LaPrise has a team-high 36 points off 19 goals and 17 assists.

UConn is coming off a weekend road sweep at Marquette in their first BIG EAST series of the year.

Sophomore Strength
Sophomores Campbell Connors and Kayla Kielbasa are leading the offense for Butler. Each have recorded at least one goal in all three games so far this season. Connors leads the team in goals (4) and fellow sophomore Greer Bireley leads the team in assists (4).

Butler vs. UConn
Friday's match-up will be the third meeting between the Bulldogs and Huskies since Butler's 2017 inaugural season. Connecticut leads the all-time series 2-0, with their last win coming in March of 2018.

UConn rejoined the BIG EAST during the summer of 2020. The women's lacrosse team was an affiliate member of the conference from 2017-2018.

New BIG EAST Format
This season, women's lacrosse will play a Friday – Sunday schedule in which the teams will play their opponents twice in one weekend. The schedule spans seven weekends with two makeup weekends built in. The championship will be hosted by Georgetown, May 6 and May 8.

Up Next
Butler is scheduled to have a bye-week before heading out on a two-game road swing, starting with a trip to Villanova on Friday, April 9.
