Final Results (PDF)

The Bulldogs posted a fifth-place finish at the 2021 BIG EAST Women's Golf Championship Presented by JEEP.

Butler junior Claire Edwards was the top-performing Bulldog, tying for sixth at 225 (+9). Edwards shot a six-over 78 on Sunday at the Club at Gateway in Ft. Myers, Fla.

After her even-par 72 Saturday, Edwards entered the final round with a one-shot lead. That lead grew to two after Edwards birdied the opening par-5 first. However, she gave back several shots on the back as Morgan Tinsley of Xavier made up ground on her way to medalist honors.

Tinsley finished at five-over 221, two shots clear of a three-way tie for second that included two other players from Xavier. Tinsley shot a one-over 73 Sunday; no player in the field shot better than par in the final round.

Xavier took the team title. The Musketeers shot a 54-hole total of 891 (+27). Their 295 (+7) on Sunday was their best round of the weekend. Seton Hall (904; +40) was second, followed by Creighton (913; +49).

The Bulldogs shot 317 (+29) Sunday, which kept Butler in the fifth position where they entered the round. Butler shot 316-309-317 over the three rounds for a 54-hole total of 942 (+78). St. John's finished fourth at 924 (+60), while Georgetown was sixth at 964 (+100).

The Bulldogs' four players behind Edwards finished stacked in the No. 25-28 positions. Senior Katelyn Le finished at 239 (+23) after a Sunday round of eight-over 80. Le placed 25th. Senior Ally Ross shot a 79 (+7) Sunday, matching her Saturday score. She finished 26th at 240 (+24).

Graduate student Rayna Oosterhuis was 27th with a 54-hole total of 243 (+27). She shot 83 in Sunday's final round. Megan Skoog carded an 80 Sunday to finish at 246 (+30) and in 28th place.
