LIVE RESULTS
The Butler track and field team will head down the road to Terre Haute to compete at Indiana State's Pacesetter Invite on Friday, May 7. The meet will serve as a final tune-up before the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships on May 14-15.
Butler will compete in an array of events to close out the regular season schedule.
On the men's side,
Garrett Kern and
Chris Stein will run the 100-meter dash. Stein will also line-up for the 200-meter alongside
Jacob Uhl. Kern, Uhl,
Joey Gareis and
Brendan Watkins will make up the Bulldogs' 4x100 relay team at the meet.
After setting a new 400-meter hurdle record,
Tom Pitkin will take a rest from the hurdles and look to improve on the program record he set earlier this season in the 400-meter.
In the invitational events,
Jesse Hamlin,
Matthew Wigelsworth and
Chandler McGaha are all entered in the men's 800-meter run and
Pierre-Louis Detourbe will represent Butler in the 1,500-meter run.
Andrew Taylor,
Will Minnette,
Blake Roberts and
Sean Robertson will race in the 3,000-meter.
Jack Wilson will be the lone Bulldog in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
In the field events,
Jack Elder will work towards his multi performance in the long jump, pole vault, javelin and 110-meter hurdles. Gareis and
Zac Stanley will join him in the long jump, while Stanley will also run the 400-meter hurdles.
Former individual champions
Brendan Watkins and
Drew Herman will compete in the triple jump and high jump, respectively.
For the women,
Niki Ezeh,
Karmen Koch,
Remi Beckham and
McKenzie Greene will take on the 100-meter hurdles.
Rebecca Collester,
Jill Vogler and
Reagan Kelly are entered in the 200-meter dash, with
Erin Haugh and
Amelia Dessauer to run the 400-meter.
Carson Fields will take a break from individual events this weekend to join two Butler relays. In the 4x100, Fields will join Ezeh, Hess and Collester. Later in the meet, Fields, Hess and Collester will then join forces with Vogler for the women's 4x400-meter relay.
Emma Bailey will run in the first section of the traditional 800-meter event, while the women's 800-meter invitational race will feature four Bulldogs in Madi Provo,
Katherine Olsen,
Camille Hines and
Morgan Walsh.
Corinna Pena will represent Butler in the 1,500-meter invitational run.
Emily Royston will return to the track on Friday next to
Abby Olson and
Allison Miller for the 3,000-meter.
In the field,
Nina Hilt, Koch and Beckham will all take on the high jump. Hilt will also compete in the long jump with
Megan Leaman and
Lucy Czirjak, who will do double duty in the triple jump, as well.
Koch and
Molly Kracht are entered in the javelin for Butler.
