SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - The Butler men's soccer team earned a point on the road in a defensive battle with Seton Hall that ended in a 0-0 tie. The Pirates (7-2-7, 4-1-5 BIG EAST) came into the match in second place in the conference standings, while the Bulldogs (9-5-2, 4-3-2 BIG EAST) were locked in a tie for third with Xavier.

With the draw, Butler has clinched one of the six spots in the postseason BIG EAST Tournament. The Bulldogs remain in a tie with the Musketeers for the third position with one match to play, and the two sides will face each other for their final regular-season contest. The pair are three points behind Seton Hall, which is currently in the second spot and has a bye on the final day of competition. Butler and Xavier are one point in front of Creighton, two points in front of UConn, and three points in front of Providence.
