INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Butler men's soccer team and Georgetown played a fast paced, evenly contested match, and the score was level, 2-2, through 72 minutes of play. In the 73
rd minute, the Hoyas (4-4-2, 2-1-0 BIG EAST) scored to take the lead and seemed to be in control. The (rv) Bulldogs (6-3-1, 2-1-1 BIG EAST) continued to fight, producing three late shots, one of which hit the crossbar. Butler ultimately ran out of time, resulting in a final score of 3-2 in favor of the visitors.

- 1' | Georgetown takes the opening kickoff straight down the left side. Kieren Sargeant sends a long cross to the far post and Kyle Linhares volleys it off the underside of the crossbar for an amazingly quick, 1-0 lead.
- 1' | On the ensuing kickoff, Jack Haywood sends a ball up to an open DJ Hooks on the right side. Hooks sends a low cross to the middle, and Jack Streberger fires a rocket into the right side of the net to level the score, 1-1, before 60 seconds had ticked off the clock.
- 18' | Streberger sends a long cross from the left to the right side of the field and finds Hooks. Butler takes a 2-1 lead when Hooks eludes his defender and strikes a shot the glances off the Georgetown keeper's hands and into the right side of the net.
- 22' | Georgetown's Jacob Murrell chips a pass straight forward, at about the penalty mark. Blaine Mabie had broken free and is able to redirect the ball just past a charging Gabriel Gjergji. The score is once again level, 2-2.

- 73' | Georgetown's Trevor Burns gets by his defender and sends a pass to the front of the goal. Marlon Tabora is able to one-time a left-footed shot into the right side of the goal to take a 3-2 lead.
- 88' | Hemi Nasser chests a ball down and taps it to leave an opportunity for Tommy Visser. Visser sends a hard shot to the upper left corner which hits the crossbar and is cleared, ending the threat.
