The Bulldogs took the team title at the Coyote Creek Classic, hosted by Bradley. This is Butler's second team championship of the fall after also winning the season-opening Illinois State Fall Invitational.

Butler and Western Illinois finished the 54-hole event tied with a score of 927 (+63), but the Bulldogs were declared the winner with a better round from their fifth, non-scoring player.

TEAM CHAMPIONS: Entering Sunday's final 18 holes, Butler was three shots back of Green Bay and had a two-shot edge over host Bradley. It was Western Illinois who made the Sunday charge with a score of 301, which was the best round of the tournament. WIU made up the six-shot advantage that Butler had over them after 36 holes.

Kelli Scheck placed fourth at 227 (+11). She shot a three-over 75 in Sunday's final round, which included four birdies.

Cybil Stillson shot a one-over 73 in Saturday's second round. That included six birdies on the 6,019-yard Coyote Creek Golf Club course.

Western Illinois's Natalie Hooper shot a four-under 68 Sunday to climb the leaderboard and take medalist honors by a single stroke over 36-hole leader Avalon Woodward of Illinois State and Mara Flaherty of Bradley. Hooper finished at 224 (+8).
