Scott Hall has announced the Bulldogs' schedule for the upcoming spring 2023 season. The schedule features games against at least four different teams that reached the NCAA Tournament in 2022.

Butler will participate in four early-season tournaments, beginning with the Spring Games in Leesburg, Fla. from Feb. 10-12. The Bulldogs will face 2022 NCAA Tournament qualifier Minnesota to open this event and the 2023 season. Additional scheduled opponents include Western Kentucky, Marshall, and Portland State.

At the FIU Invite, Feb. 17-19, Butler will face a second 2022 NCAA participant, Missouri. In addition to the host school, the Bulldogs will play Pitt and a couple of teams yet to be determined.

The third and fourth tournaments of the season will be hosted by Alabama-Birmingham and Southern Illinois-Carbondale. Those events will occur on Feb. 24-26 and Mar. 3-5, with many opponents, other than the host schools, to be determined later.

Prior to the beginning of BIG EAST play, Butler will travel to Miami, Ohio, for a single game against another 2022 NCAA Tournament qualifier. In addition to this contest with the Redhawks, non-conference games, sprinkled throughout BIG EAST play, include IUPUI, Purdue, Indiana, and Indiana State.

The first home game and home BIG EAST series for the Bulldogs begins on March 10 when DePaul travels to Indianapolis. In addition to this opening series from Mar. 10-12, Butler will host conference opponents St. John's (Mar. 17-19), Villanova (Apr. 6-8), and Georgetown (Apr. 28-30). Single games that complete the home schedule are Dayton (Apr. 4) and Indiana State (Apr. 19).
For the final series of the regular season, the Bulldogs will travel to South Orange, N.J. to take on Seton Hall from May 5-7. The top six teams in the conference standings will qualify for the BIG EAST Tournament, which begins May 11.Â

Monique Hoosen, who led the 2022 Bulldogs in home runs (10), slugging percentage (.642), and walks (25), sophomore
Ella White, who led the 2022 Bulldogs with 11 doubles, three triples, 29 RBI, and 31 runs scored, and sophomore
Ellie Boyer, who led last year's squad and the BIG EAST with seven sacrifice bunts.       Â
