INDIANAPOLIS – The Butler women's soccer team returned to the win column with a 7-0 shutout win over Wright State on Thursday evening. The (RV) Bulldogs (3-1) scored five goals in the first half and added two more in the second, and the Butler defenders held the visiting Raiders (3-2) to only two shots.

• 3' | Becky Dean plays to the feet of Alexei Whittaker who turns immediately and finds the feet of Katie Soderstrom. Soderstrom's shot ricochets off the Wright State keeper's outstretched glove and into the back of the net for the first goal of the match.
• 17' | Arianna Jalics sends a ball from the right side to the top of the box. The ball passes by Alexei Whittaker and her defender as they collide and continues on, where Abigail Isger one-times a rocket into the upper right corner of the goal. Dawgs are up, 2-0.
• 21' | Isger receives a pass on the left side and maneuvers to get a cross past her defender. Soderstrom is open in the middle, knocks the ball down, and places it under the keeper hands for her second goal of the match.
• 23' | Soderstrom takes a ball on the right side, eludes her defender and finds Isger streaking toward the far post. Isger volleys the ball directly in for the fourth goal of the game, and her second.
• 39' | Alana Wood draws a foul in the penalty area, and Alli Leonard nails the PK, putting the Bulldogs up, 5-0.

HALFTIME

• 48' | A ball from the forward left corner is played back to Morgan Kloosterman in the center of the field, and she plays it straight forward to Soderstrom. Soderstrom touches one time to her right, turns, and finds the lower right corner to complete her hat trick.
• 84' | Sara Trandji intercepts a Raiders pass on the right side and immediately sends it toward the goal from 25 yards out. The arcing shot lands just in the upper left corner of the net for the final goal of the match.
