The Bulldogs picked up their second consecutive sweep Saturday, downing Southern Utah in the team's final match of the Boise State Classic. Butler posted a 2-1 record for the weekend.
Butler won Saturday's match by a score of 25-21, 25-20, 25-16.
With the result, Butler is now 6-3 on the season, while Southern Utah falls to 0-7.

WITH HONORS: Butler's
Jaymeson Kinley and
Mariah Grunze were selected to the Boise State Classic All-Tournament Team following Saturday's match. Kinley had a team-best 51 digs over the team's three matches, while Grunze posted 42 kills and 25 digs.
SET 1: Butler 25-21
And 6-1 spurt midway through the first set took a 15-14 Butler advantage to 21-15, and from there the Bulldogs closed out the set.
Amina Shackelford had six kills in the opening set. Southern Utah out-hit the Bulldogs, .243-.209, in the opening frame but were hampered by five service errors.
SET 2: Butler 25-20
Butler never trailed in the second set, which was tied four times, the last one coming at 6-6. Butler opened up a six-point advantage midway through the set at 16-10 and kept a similar distance through the final point. The Bulldogs hit .350 during the set, with Grunze posting six kills. Shackelford and
Megan Sheridan each had four kills in the stanza.
SET 3: Butler 25-16
The Bulldogs jumped out to a 5-1 lead and never looked back in clinching the three-game sweep. Grunze had eight kills on 11 swings. Butler hit .370 while holding Southern Utah to only a .154 clip.

UP NEXT:Â After two straight weekends on the road, the Bulldogs now return to Hinkle Fieldhouse for the Bulldog Brawl. Butler will play three consecutive nights at 6 p.m. (vs. Ohio Thursday, against Missouri Friday, and vs. Central Michigan Saturday). Additional matches featuring those other teams will be played Friday and Saturday throughout the day.
