INDIANAPOLIS – The Butler women's soccer team had a two-goal advantage over Ball State but ended up with a draw once the final horn sounded. The Bulldogs (3-4-1) scored early in the first half and then again, very early in the second, but the unrelenting Cardinals (1-3-3) answered with two goals of their own, and time expired with the score all level, 2-2.
 
Key Moments

• 6' | Katie Soderstrom carried down the right side and challenged her defender in the penalty area. She made a move and struck a hard shot on goal. Ball State's keeper reached out to make the save, but the ball deflected under her arm and carried into the net. The Bulldogs led, 1-0.

• 46' | Soderstrom hit a long cross from the right side that went to the far post. Abigail Isger was there, and her left-footed shot deflected off the keeper and in, putting Butler up, 2-0.
• 50' | Ball State's Avery Fenchel took a shot from right in front of Butler's goal that was blocked. It came back to her, and she struck it again, this time into the upper right corner of the net, pulling the Cardinals to within one, 2-1.
• 77' | Sammi Corcoran carried through two Butler defenders at the top of the box. Her left-footed shot went directly into the upper right corner and leveled the score, 2-2.
