The Bulldogs stand in seventh after the first 36 holes of the Nittany Lion Invitational.

The event, hosted by Penn State, is slated for a final 18 holes Sunday in University Park, Pa.

THE PLAYERS: Freshman Kelli Scheck is tied for 14th at 147 (+3) after rounds of 74 and 73 Saturday on the par-72, 6,402-yard Penn State Blue Course.
  • Alaina Bowie, in her first action of the season, is tied for 22nd. Her 36-hole total of 148 (+4) included an even-par 72 Saturday afternoon.
  • Reese Wilson, the reigning BIG EAST Golfer of the Week, shot two rounds of 75 and her total of 150 (+6) is tied for 29th.
  • Katie Steinman (153; +9) and Lily Celentano (160; +16) are in a tie for 47th and 83rd, respectively, entering the final round.

THE TEAMS: The Bulldogs are seventh among the 16-team field. Butler shot 301 as a team in the morning round and followed that with an afternoon 297. Butler's 598 (+22) is one shot back of Eastern Kentucky and Richmond, which are tied for fifth.

Host Penn State leads at 571 (-5), which is 11 shots clear of second-place Boston College.

OF NOTE:
  • Toledo's Amelia Lee has the individual lead at 139 (-5).
  • Scheck's sister, Katie, is a sophomore at Penn State. Kelli and Katie are among the group tied for 14th after the first two rounds. Katie is playing as an individual in the event.
  • There are 93 players in the field.

THE SCHEDULE: Sunday's final round will feature an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start and 18 holes.
