Isaiah Williams led the USD rushing attack with 134 yards on 31 carries. Neither team threw a touchdown pass on Saturday, although the Eagles have one of the best aerial attacks in the league. MSU ranks second in the PFL in passing offense (246.6) and red zone offense. QB Carter Cravens leads the PFL in total offense (275.3), touchdowns (15), and ranks second in passing yards (1,947). His top target is junior WR Ryan Upp. Upp ranks second in the PFL in receptions (48) and yards (682) while leading the league in TD's with six.

After a month-long hiatus of home games, the Eagles return to Jayne Stadium for Homecoming Weekend versus Butler.

ALL-TIME SERIES: Butler trails Morehead State in the all-time series 18-9. The Eagles won 10 of the first 11 matchups in a rivalry that dates back to 1963. Butler's first win came in 2001 (29-27) and they won the last meeting 56-20.

Butler hasn't won back-to-back games vs. Morehead State since 2017-18. Their last win in Kentucky was a 44-6 victory in 2017.

LAST MEETING: Butler scored a season-high 56 points in their 36-point win over MSU last year on Oct. 29. The Bulldogs recorded 485 yards of total offense and got a three-touchdown performance from Brody Reder.

BU rushed for 290 yards and six touchdowns vs. MSU in 2022.

STACKING WINS: Butler recently defeated Dayton and Valparaiso to reach six wins on the season. The win at Dayton was the first BU victory at Welcome Stadium since 2013 and gave Butler back-to-back wins vs. Dayton for the first time since 2012-13. The 'Dawgs have also won two-straight vs. Valpo for the first time since 2015-16.

Butler has not won seven games in back-to-back seasons since 2012-13. They went 8-3 in 2012 and 9-4 in 2013.

GO FOR IT: The Bulldogs went 4-for-4 on fourth down Saturday vs. Valpo. They converted 4th and 1 and 4th and 4 on the same drive during the second quarter to get a field goal. Mitchell has now rushed for 1,088 yards this season and is averaging 6.6 yards per carry (1st in PFL). His 12 rushing touchdowns lead the PFL and put him in a tie for third in all of FCS football.

Mitchell needs to rush for 88 yards at Morehead State to place his name in the Butler record book. 1,176 yards would be the 10th-best single-season rushing performance in program history. 102 yards against the Eagles would move Mitchell into ninth place. The last Bulldog to break into the BU Top Ten list was Trae Heeter. He ranks seventh with 1,375 yards (2013).

Bushka has passed for 1,368 yards in 2023 moving his career total to 5,503. He recently passed Matt Lancaster in career passing yards and needs just 48 more yards to move into fourth place all-time. The BU QB is also just seven completions shy of 500 in his Bulldog career.

Drake snapped Butler's five-game winning streak last year on Nov. 12. Drake has won the last seven meetings. Butler's last win came in 2015 in Indy.
