Butler Men's Tennis Sweeps Saint Louis, 7-0

| By:

Butler picked up its third consecutive win with a convincing 7-0 triumph over Saint Louis Sunday morning. The road win moves the Bulldogs to 8-5 on the season.

Butler started the action by taking two of three matches to claim the doubles point. The momentum carried over to singles competition as the Bulldogs took all six courts.

Thomas Brennan captured a straight-set win at No. 1 singles, topping Andres Castellanos, 6-0, 6-3. Patrick Joss and Zach Trimpe each only needed two sets to take their wins at No. 4 and No. 6, respectively.

The other three singles matches would go the distance. Alvaro Huete Vadillo took a third-set match tiebreaker, 10-7, on the second court. Borja Miralles and Nicolas Arts took their three-set victories at No. 3 and No. 5.

The Bulldogs will next compete on a Spring Break trip that begins with the Pacific Coast Men's Doubles Championship in La Jolla, Calif., before matching up with BIG EAST foes Villanova and Georgetown in San Diego.
