@ButlerUMTennis Falls to Vanderbilt 4-3

The Butler men's tennis team was defeated by Vanderbilt on Saturday, 4-3. The Bulldog's end the week 1-1 after Thursday's win over Bellarmine. 
 
The doubles point went to Vanderbilt after they closed out wins in the No. 2 and No. 3 courts. Thomas Brennan and Alvaro Huete Vadillo were tied in the No. 1 match before the Commodores had clinched the point. 
 
In singles play, Brennan won back-to-back sets after dropping the first to capture the No. 1 for Butler. Rahulniket Konakanchi defeated his opponent, winning two sets in close fashion. Aidan William earned Butler a third point with an abbreviated tiebreaker win.  
 
Butler is back in action next Saturday for a home BIG EAST meeting with DePaul. First serve is set for 11 a.m.
