Butler Men’s Tennis Defeats Villanova for First BIG EAST Win of Season

Butler met BIG EAST opponent Villanova in San Diego as part of its California Spring Break trip. The Bulldogs came out on top, earning a 5-2 victory over the Wildcats.
 
For the overall team win, Butler first secured the doubles point and then took four courts in singles action.
 
Thomas Brennan dropped his first set at No. 1 singles, controlled set number two, and then edged his counterpart in the third. Borja Miralles, Patrick Joss, and Nicolas Arts each picked up wins on courts 3-5, with Joss and Arts each dispatching their opponents in only two sets.
 
The Bulldogs will play Georgetown on Wednesday in another conference contest which will conclude the team's competition in California.
