2024 BIG EAST - Men's 10k Podium

Bulldogs Earn Total of 21 All-BIG EAST Honors at 2024 Outdoor Championships

Sixteen Bulldogs combined to pick up a total of 21 All-BIG EAST honors following their respective performances at the 2024 BIG EAST Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
 
The all-conference teams are comprised of BIG EAST competitors who placed in the top-three in any individual or relay event at the championships, with this season's meet being held May 9-11 at Villanova Stadium on the campus of Villanova University.

Luke Finnegan earned three All-BIG EAST honors with each coming alongside a BIG EAST title. Finnegan won the 200 meters and then was part of BIG EAST-best Butler relay teams in the 4x100 and 4x400.
 
Florian Le Pallec (with a second-place finish in the 10,000 meters and a third-place showing in the 5,000 meters), Martin Kovacech (finishing second in the steeplechase and a as a member of the third-place 4x800 relay team), and Gavin Cougle (as a member of both the champion 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams) were the other Bulldogs to earn multiple All-BIG EAST recognition.
 
Butler swept All-BIG EAST honors in the 10,000 meters as Will Minnette, Le Pallec and Jack McMahon went 1-2-3 in the event.
 
Additional Bulldog men to earn all-conference honors included Jesse Hamlin (second in the 5,000 meters), Luke Walden (third in the pole vault) and the remaining members of Butler's 4x100 (Troy Larrison, Ben Bradley), 4x400 (Zac Stanley, William Cuthbertson) and 4x800 (Michael Dunagan, Liam Dennis, David Slapak) relay teams.
 
On the women's side, Wiktoria Klebowska earned all-conference honors with her second-place finish in the steeplechase.
 
A total of 146 student athletes across eight schools were named to the All-BIG EAST Team.

On the list of 74 women and 72 men, 33 (17 women, 16 men) earned all-conference recognition in multiple events. There are five athletes that each earned All-BIG EAST honors in three events, including Butler's Luke Finnegan (200m, 4x100m relay, 4x400m relay), UConn's A'liyah Thomas (100m hurdles, 4x100m relay, long jump), DePaul's Dominic Cole (100m, 200m, 4x100m relay), St. John's Chinenye Onourah (200m, 400m, 4x400m relay), and Villanova's Tristan Bolinksy (shot put, discus, hammer throw). DePaul's Darius Brown was the only athlete to earn honors in four events (110m hurdles, 400m hurdles, 4x100m relay, 4x400m relay).
 
The NCAA East First Round is scheduled for May 22-25 at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. The top 48 in the region in their respective event will earn entry into the preliminary competition.
