BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Butler men's soccer team dropped a 3-2 match at Bowling Green on Saturday evening, suffering its first loss of the season. The Falcons (4-1-0), out of the Missouri Valley Conference, scored one goal in the first half and two more, early in the second, to build a 3-0 lead. The Bulldogs (2-1-2) finally answered with a goal in the 65^th minute and another in the 88^th minute but were unable to level the score.

• 59' | A Bowling Green shot deflects off a Butler defender's chest, changes direction and rolls into the net opposite a diving Norris. The Falcons are up two.
• 64' | Bowling Green sends in a cross from the right side. A Falcon attacker uses his head for a quick flick, and it flies past Butler's keeper and into the goal. The lead is now three.
• 65' | Ault takes a pass from Donovan Boone just inside area. He evades three defenders, takes a deflection off a fourth, and sends the ball just inside near post. Butler now trails, 3-1.
• 81' | Lou-Kent Bosc draws a foul near the touch line on the left side. Joost de Schutter sends a ball to the far post, where three Bulldogs await, but the Falcons keeper leaps high to grab it.
• 88' | Joost de Schutter finds Boone in the center of the pitch, and he flicks forward to Manolo Ferreres. Ferreres volleys to the left side in front of Ault. Ault one-times a hard cross in front of the goal, and Josemir Gomez redirects the ball into the back of the net. Dawgs are within one, 3-2.
