Butler and Villanova End Regular Season with Draw

VILLANOVA, Pa. – The Butler women's soccer team entered Saturday's final match of the regular season in contention for a spot in the 2025 BIG EAST Tournament, but the 0-0 final result at Villanova eliminated both the Bulldogs and the host side from contention.

The Bulldogs (5-4-8, 2-3-5 BIG EAST) generated more shots in the contest – 22 compared to 11 – but the Wildcats (9-8-1, 4-5-1 BIG EAST) put one more on frame, leading that category, 6-5.

Butler's Addison Ash made six saves in the match to secure her third solo shutout of the season.

With a win earlier today over St. John's, Creighton has secured the fourth and final spot in the upcoming tournament field. The Bluejays join Georgetown, Xavier, and UConn as contenders for the conference championship.
