The Butler baseball team gave up 10 runs over the first three innings of the game at Ohio taking them to a 13-9 setback.
Jack Bello and
Zach Munton each homered in the defeat. The loss moves BU to 3-5 on the year while Ohio improved to 2-6.

Corbin Snyder,
Gabe Pancratz,
Christian Finnigan and
Brett Sherrard all touched the rubber on Friday in game one of the three-game series. Snyder took the loss and would exit the game after two full innings. He struck out three, walked one and allowed six hits which resulted in seven runs.

Pancratz threw the third before Finnigan took over for the next three innings. Sherrard got the final four outs, striking out two.

The offense was highlighted by
Harry Carr's three-hit game.
AJ Solomon and
Jack Moroknek also had multi-hit games.

BU scored at least one run from the second inning to the sixth, but Ohio's hot start would separate the teams. Each club ended the day with 12 total hits and each side committed multiple errors.

Carr opened the scoring with an RBI single back up the middle of the diamond in the second.
Tommy Townsend hit a sac fly to deep center field to score Solomon in the third and Bello's home run would come in the fourth.

Two Bulldogs had RBI groundouts in the fifth and Munton's two-run home run made the game 11-7 in the sixth.

Moroknek added to his team-high RBI total in the eighth with a sac fly to right and
Connor Sackett would score Bello in the ninth to take us to the final score of 13-9.

The two teams will meet again on Saturday. First pitch is set for 2 p.m.
