The Butler baseball team played two games against Ohio at Bob Wren Stadium on Sunday with each club finding the win column. The Bulldogs earned an 8-7 victory in game one, while the Bobcats took the weekend series with a 10-9 win in game two. BU is now 4-6 overall while Ohio moves to 3-7.

Butler scored seven of their eight runs in the second inning of the first game to come out on top.
Ryan Drumm highlighted the action with a solo home run and a three-RBI double all in the second inning!

Ohio hit homers in the fourth and fifth to get back within one run of the Bulldogs, but
Jack Bello would shut the door on the comeback opportunity to get the save.
Marcus Goodpaster tossed five full to earn the win.

Game two was another high scoring contest with Butler grabbing an early 5-2 lead. Ohio was able to knot the score at 5-5 after the fifth inning and took their first lead in the bottom of the sixth. The game was schedule for seven innings, but had to move into eight after Butler tied the action in the top of the seventh.

Butler seemed to be in control after adding two more runs in the eighth, but three runs would follow in the bottom half of the inning allowing Ohio to walk it off.

Jack Moroknek was 4-for-5 in the game with an RBI and a double.
Harry Carr collected two hits and a team-best three RBI.
Jack Bello also had two RBIs in the nightcap.

Tate Foxson got the start for the Bulldogs and would be one of six Butler arms to see action. BU walked eight and only struck out three. Ohio was able to generate their 10 runs off 10 hits. Butler had 16 hits in game two, but the free bases were too much to overcome.

The team will return to action on Wednesday with a road game at Miami Ohio. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. in Oxford.
