The Butler women's soccer team remains on the road for its second-successive match vs. a Big Ten opponent. The Bulldogs (2-0-1) will face Northwestern on Sunday after earning a draw at Purdue last weekend.

The Wildcats (2-1-2) have most recently seen ties against Milwaukee and Kent State. Northwestern has wins this season over Illinois State and Loyola but lost, 3-0, at No. 1 Duke.

The Series: Northwestern leads the overall series, 5-1-1, and won the most recent contest (1-0) in 2022 in Evanston. Butler's only win in the series (3-1) was in 2021 in Indianapolis. The programs met in the 2017 NCAA Tournament in Chicago. With the score still 0-0 after two overtime periods, the Wildcats advanced on PKs, 3-2. The Wildcats won the first four matches in 1996, 1997, 1998, and 1999.
