The Butler men's soccer team will travel to Evansville before hosting No. 10 Akron on Homecoming and Alumni Weekend.

Evansville (1-2-5, 0-0-0 MVC), has a win this season over Southern Indiana and ties that include Xavier, Dayton, and Memphis. Losses have come to No. 15 North Carolina and Lindenwood.  

Butler leads the all-time series, 15-12-1, and won last season, 4-1, in Indianapolis. The teams tied in 2018, but Butler is 8-1-1 in the last 10 meetings, since 2011. Evansville's most recent win (3-1) came in 2013, and the Purple Aces won five of six from 2002 through 2008.

No. 10 Akron (5-2-1, 0-1-0 BIG EAST) has wins this season that include No. 16 Ohio State and Western Michigan, and the side drew with No. 8 West Virginia. Losses have come to No. 5 Vermont and (rv) UConn. The Zips host No. 7 Saint Louis on Tuesday, prior to traveling to Butler.
 
Akron and Butler are tied, 1-1-2, in the all-time series. The Zips won last season in Akron, and the teams tied in 2023 and 2018. The Bulldogs picked up their only win in the series in 2019, a 1-0, double-overtime win in Indianapolis.
