Butler defender Lucia Englund, along with forward Alyssa Carlson, represented Butler with two of the conference's four major weekly awards after their performances vs. DePaul and Providence. Englund was named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week, and Carlson was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week. In addition, midfielder Léa Larouche was recognized on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
 
Englund played the full 90 minutes in the defensive line in the 3-1 victory over Providence, scoring the go-ahead and game-winning goal in the 43^rd minute and then later assisting on a third goal.
 
Carlson totaled four points on the week, scoring Butler's only goal in a 1-1 draw with DePaul and also scoring the first goal in the 3-1 win over Providence.
 
Larouche assisted on all four goals scored by the Bulldogs over the two matches this week.
 
Butler, who was unbeaten in six matches in September, is on the road for two matches this week. The Bulldogs face No. 21 Georgetown on Wednesday and then travel to No. 24 Xavier on Saturday.
