BIG EAST Tournament Outlook
The upcoming 2016 BIG EAST Volleyball Championship Tournament will be hosted by Butler at Hinkle Fieldhouse. The top four teams in the conference standings will make up the field with games being played on Nov. 25 and Nov. 26. The Creighton Bluejays (14-0) have already clinched a tournament seed and with a win this weekend, Marquette (11-3) will join them in the tournament field.
Xavier (9-5), Villanova (8-6), Seton Hall (8-7), DePaul (7-7), Butler (6-8) and St. John's (5-10) are all fighting for the final two spots. A Butler win over Villanova on Sunday will give the team a season sweep over the Wildcats and therefore give them the tie-breaker in the result of a tie. Xavier and Seton Hall however hold the tie-breaker over Butler.
