Evansville pushed across two runs in the top of the seventh to turn a 2-1 deficit into a 3-2 win over Butler Saturday night in Nashville. The Bulldogs have two Sunday contests remaining in the Music City, with games scheduled against Northern Kentucky and host Tennessee State.

Butler built a 2-1 lead over the Purple Aces with single runs in the bottom of the first and third. In the first, Maggie MacBeth led off with a bunt single and stole second. She advanced to third on a fly out and scored on an Evansville error. 

The Bulldogs' run in the third was also unearned as Sarah Dixon reached on a dropped throw by the Evansville first baseman. Alyssa Lach would single her in later in the inning. 

A two-out rally by Evansville in the top of the seventh accounted for two runs. 

MacBeth had three hits for Butler on the evening, while Lach added two. They combined for six of Butler's seven hits. The Bulldogs left 11 runners on base over the course of the seven innings. 

Kristin Gutierrez got the start and allowed one run in 2.2 innings. Mikeila Boroff relieved her and gave up two runs -- one unearned -- over the next four innings. She took the loss (0-1). 

Morgan Florey (3-0) got the win for Evansville. Butler falls to 2-5 on the young season, while the Purple Aces are now 7-2. 

Butler finishes the five-game event in Nashville with two games Sunday.
