Gehrig Hollatz paced the Bulldogs with a three-round total of 222 as Butler placed 11th in the team standings at the Earl Yesteringsmeier Memorial Invitational in Muncie, Ind.
Hollatz finished at 12-over par (73-73-76) for the tournament, played at the Delaware Country Club, a 6,438-yard, par-70 course near the Ball State campus. He finished in a tie for 19th.
Butler's Joey Arcuri finished at +17 to tie for 40th. He was followed by Max Gagnier (+18, T-44), Zack Carrabine (+19, T-48), Ricky Kuiper (+25, 65th), and Brigham Stewart (+26, T-66).
Wright State's Ryan Wenzler won the event with a three-round total of 214 (+4).
Host Ball State won the team competition with a three-round total of 1,086. The format included six players for each team with five scoring. The Cardinals carded a 360 in the opening round, followed by 359 in Friday's second round before finishing Saturday's round at 367. Cleveland State and Dayton followed Ball State.
Butler finished 11th after rounds of 383, 378, and 380 (1,141, +91).
The Bulldogs return to action with the BIG EAST Championships May 1-3 at Callawassie Island, S.C.
