INDIANAPOLIS – The Bulldogs will play four games at home this week beginning with a 4 PM tilt vs. Lewis (1-11) on Wednesday afternoon. The three-game weekend series will feature Butler hosting Saint Louis (13-2).

Scouting Saint Louis
The Billikens are 14-2 this year with quality wins over Notre Dame (2x), Santa Clara and Creighton. They recently took a loss at home to Northern Illinois. Their only other loss came at a neutral site against Michigan.

Aaron Case is the big man on campus for Saint Louis. A starter in all 15 games this year, Case has 21 hits in 57 at-bats to post a .368 batting average. He has five doubles, two triples and three home runs giving him 18 RBI. The team leader in RBI's is Parker Sniatynski who has 21 over the first 15 games of the season.

Miller Hogan, Devin Mahoney, and Jackson Wark are all options to get the start this weekend. Hogan has the best numbers of anyone on the staff with a 3-0 record that goes along with a 0.75 ERA. His 21 strikeouts also serve as the team-high. Mahoney is also 3-0 on the year, but his ERA rests at 5.50. Wark is 2-1 on the year with a 5.79 ERA.

Last Year at Saint Louis
The Billikens won last year's weekend series on their home diamond 2-1. Game one went to Saint Louis 9-4 while game two went to Butler 8-6. The getaway game was down to the wire, but Saint Louis held off BU 13-12.

Temps rise to 50 over the weekend, but there is a 70% chance of rain on Friday. Windy conditions could be an issue on Saturday (20 MPH) and the series will come to a close with the sun shining on Sunday.

On the Mound
The Bulldogs will throw their normal rotation of
Jeff Schank,
Ryan Pepiot and
Connor Mitchell for the weekend. Schank has been brilliant on the mound this season with a 2-1 record that includes a 0.67 ERA and 37 strikeouts in just 27 innings of action. Pepiot also has more strikeouts than innings pitched with 30 K's and only 19 complete innings. Mitchell rounds out this group with a 2-0 record that includes a 1.99 ERA.

Hitting Streaks
Jordan Lucio holds the longest hitting streak of the season at six, however the longest current streak belongs to
Garrett Christman. Christman has a hit in four-straight games and is coming off a 1-for-3 game with an RBI and a run scored against Fort Wayne.

Reached Base Steak
Gehrig Parker reached base safely in 11-straight games at the start of the season, but saw his streak snapped at Presbyterian on March 7. The longest current streak belongs to
Garrett Christman who has reached base safely in five-straight games.

Michael Hartnagel went 5-for-5 at Furman with three RBI and a run scored. It marked the second time in Hartnagel's career where he recorded five hits in a single game. Last year he recorded five hits at St. John's on May 8. The school record for most hits in a single game is six, held by Kyle Waggoner who played for BU during the 2010 season.

Butler has 16 stolen bases as a team over the first 15 games of the regular season.
