About the Opponent: Indiana State
The Sycamores are 3-3-1 overall heading into the weekend. They will host Fort Wayne on Friday night before traveling to Indianapolis on Sunday. ISU has lost three of their last four matches with the lone win doubling as their only road win of the season (at Green Bay 2-0). Caitlyn Eddy is a weapon up top with a team-high four assists. The top goal scorers are Katie Wells and Reilly Teal (2).

Butler Upsets #10 Texas A&M 2-0
The Bulldogs are now 1-0-1 against nationally-ranked opponents this year. BU tied #18 Notre Dame 0-0 in the season opener and knocked off #10 Texas A&M 2-0 last week. Butler's last win over a ranked foe came back in 2013 when the Bulldogs beat the #11 Michigan Wolverines 1-0 at the Sellick Bowl.

Luedtke Named BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week
Hannah Luedtke led the Bulldogs to a banner win at No. 10 Texas A&M on Friday night, denying all five shots faced to score a 2-0 win in College Station. Butler's fifth-straight shutout victory of the season bumped its overall record to 5-1-1 on the year. Additionally, Luedtke moved into sole possession of eighth place at Butler in all-time career saves (98).

Missing Pieces
BU goalkeeper Leonie Doege (3-0-1) missed the Texas A&M contest as she traveled back to Germany to play in the U19 European Championship qualification games. BU was also without starting all-conference center back Shannon McDevitt who traveled home to Michigan for a family emergency.

Monaghan Hits Game-Winner at #10 Texas A&M
Junior Paige Monaghan scored her first goal of the 2017 season at Texas A&M on Friday night. The first goal of the game came off a back heel assist from Halle Stelbasky.

Stelbasky Scores Against the Aggies
Junior forward Halle Stelbasky was credited with an assist on Butler's game-winning goal at Texas A&M and was also in the box score with her first goal of the season as she beat the Aggie keeper in the final stages of the opening half to give BU the 2-0 edge.

Balanced Attack
Six different BU players account for the team's seven goals on the season and all nine assists have been recorded by different student-athletes.

Defense Wins Championships
The 2017 team has only allowed one goal over the first seven matches of the season, accomplishing a feat that no other team in program history can match. The best starts in school history include a 9-1 record in 2002, a 7-1-1 mark in 1996 and a 7-2 record in 2001. Getting off to a great start is not new for the Bulldogs. They went 8-2-2 at the start of 2016 and 7-2-1 in 2015.

Soccer Sundaes
Children 12 and under wearing their youth soccer jerseys will receive a free ice cream sundae prior to the start of the match!

In The Polls
BIG EAST women's soccer made a splash on Tuesday in the United Soccer Coaches Poll as three teams were in the mix. Georgetown led the way at No. 18, while Marquette earned its first national ranking since the 2014 preseason poll, coming in at No. 19. The Golden Eagles have won seven in a row, while the Hoyas are unbeaten over their last three. Riding a five-game shutout win streak, Butler received votes for the first time this season. In the Midwest Regional Poll, Marquette led the way at No. 3, followed by Georgetown at No. 5, Butler at No. 7 and St. John's at No. 13.

Nearing Non-Conference Conclusion
Nine of 10 BIG EAST teams finish the nonconference portion of their schedules this week, with just Butler playing a midweek tilt next week prior to the start of league play on Saturday and Sunday. Six teams enter this week with a .500 or better record, while four have suffered two losses or less. No. 19 Marquette leads the pack at 7-1-0, the 16th-best winning percentage in the NCAA, collecting seven consecutive victories after its season-opening setback to now No. 2 Stanford. RV Butler (5-1-1) is also on a hot streak, winning its last five, all in shutout fashion, including Friday's 2-0 win at then-No. 10 Texas A&M. No. 18 Georgetown carries a three-game unbeaten streak into Sunday's match at Towson, most recently earning a scoreless draw with then-No. 14 Rutgers. Providence and DePaul also enter the week on multi-game winning streaks after each won a pair of contests last week, with the Friars totaling seven goals in that two-game span.
