Butler improved to 6-2 on the season with a 70-55 win over Brown Wednesday night at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

Paul Jorgensen led the Bulldogs with 19 points as Butler won its 47
th consecutive home game against a non-conference opponent.

"It was good to be back at Hinkle, to be able to get the taste of that loss (at Saint Louis) out of our mouth," said Butler coach LaVall Jordan. "Our bench gave us a good spark in the first half, but we went a little flat in the second half. We'll watch the video, learn from it, and move on to the next one."

Kamar Baldwin and
Henry Baddley each added 12 points for the Bulldogs, who never trailed in the game and led by as many as 24 early in the second half. An early 11-0 run gave Butler a 25-8 lead and the Bulldogs kept the visitors at arm's length the rest of the way.

Jorgensen went 3-of-6 from behind the arc as Butler hit nine three-pointers as a team. Fourteen fast break points contributed to Butler's offensive output.

Butler committed a season-low seven turnovers.
Aaron Thompson led the Bulldogs with six rebounds and four assists. Baldwin also had four assists.

Desmond Cambridge led the Bears (6-4) with 15 points. Butler limited Brown to 36-percent shooting, including a 4-of-23 performance from three-point range.

The Bulldogs return to action Saturday, hosting Northern Illinois at Hinkle Fieldhouse. Tickets are still available for the 4:30 p.m., which will air on FS1 nationally.
