Butler improved to 9-16 on the year after recording a 2-1 win over Florida A&M on Sunday. The Bulldogs finish their week in Florida with a 3-4 record.

Two runs in the first inning sealed the win for the Bulldogs. Kaitlin Doud reached on a throwing error by the pitcher, scoring Jenna Foreman for Butler's first run. Doud would end up scoring the game-winning run off a wild pitch.

Florida A&M's Tyra Bowers singled in the third inning to score Jamesia Stoudemire and bring the Rattler's within one, but the Bulldog defense shut down the comeback.

Doud got the start and win on the mound for the Bulldogs. The junior gave up four hits and one earned run while striking out two. Alyssa Graves came on in relief to earn the save. She gave up one hit and struck out four.

Veroni Burse (3-15) received the loss for Florida A&M.
