Official PFL Release
ST. LOUIS – The Pioneer Football League announced the 2018 Preseason All-Conference Team today. Offensive linemen
Dakota Sneed and
Bobby Jensen both earned the nod along with wide receiver
Pace Temple. Butler's placekicker
Drew Bevelhimer was also recognized with the preseason honor.
31 student-athletes were named to the 2018 Preseason All-Pioneer Football League Team. The PFL will announce the preseason coaches' poll on Tuesday, July 31.
Sneed and Jensen took up two of just six offensive line spots on the Preseason All-Pioneer League Football Team. Jensen is a 6-4, 290-pound redshirt-senior from Plainfield, Ind. that will resume his duties at right tackle this season. Sneed is another redshirt-senior on the BU roster. The 6-3, 285-pound center hails from Edinburgh, Ind.
Protection up front will be important for Butler so that the Bulldogs can get the ball out to senior wide receiver
Pace Temple. The 6-2, 200-pound wide out became just the fourth player in Butler history to surpass 1,000 receiving yards in a single-season. As a junior, Temple caught 65 balls for 1,075 yards. He recorded five 100-yard games and ranked 13th in the FCS at 97.7 yards per game. Butler's offensive MVP averaged 16.5 yards per catch and ended the year with four touchdowns.
The fourth member of the Preseason All-PFL Team is kicker
Drew Bevelhimer. Butler relied on Bevelhimer throughout the season as the placekicker and kickoff man. He went 16-21 on field goal attempts and 30-32 on extra points. Bevelhimer enters his junior season after seeing playing time as both a freshman and sophomore. He was tabbed First Team All-PFL in 2017 and was a finalist for the Fred Mitchell award.
