Complete Release Including Butler Honorees
The Pioneer Football League has named 543 student-athletes to its fall 2018 PFL Academic Honor Roll. The Butler football team had 63 of its players recognized.
This is the ninth straight season that Butler football has had at least 60 members on the honor roll, with a record 80 players named at the end of the 2014 season.
This marks the sixth consecutive year that the PFL has named more than 500 student-athletes to the honor roll. The University of Dayton (79), Drake University (63), Butler (63) and Valparaiso University (60) were the four schools with the highest totals, placing at least 60 members on the list.
The Pioneer Football Leagues athletic director and coaches established the honor roll in 2001 as a way to recognize the league's outstanding student-athletes. This academic honor roll includes all student-athletes who posted a grade-point-average of 3.0 or higher during the fall semester while enrolled full-time in accordance with NCAA rules.
