Junior
Michael Cascino took medalist honors at the Skyhawk Fall Classic, finishing off the victory in a playoff Tuesday afternoon in Buchanan, Tenn.

Cascino and Murray State's Dalton Bagwell each finished at two-under 214, sending them to hole No. 1 for a playoff. Cascino parred the hole, while Bagwell posted a double bogey.

Cascino shot a one-over 73 Tuesday after Monday rounds of 72 and three-under 69. His Tuesday round of 73 included three birdies. Cascino entered the final round tied with Tennessee State's Landon Albert, who fell out of contention with a 79 Tuesday. Bagwell was one shot off the pace entering Tuesday's play.

This is the second time in two tournaments that Cascino has been the top performer for the Bulldogs; he led the team with a T8 finish at the season-opener Crusader Challenge.

Butler finished second, as host UT-Martin took the team title at 871 (+7). The Skyhawks shot 289 (+1) in Tuesday's final round.

The Bulldogs combined for a team total of 301 Tuesday after rounds of 295 and 282 Monday. Their 54-hole total of 878 (+14) was three shots better than third-place Murray State. Thirteen teams comprised the field. Butler held a three-shot lead heading into the final 18 holes; Murray State was second to the Bulldogs after the first 36 holes.

Logan Sabins, playing as an individual in his first action of the season, shot 73 Tuesday to finish at 216 (+2) and in a tie for sixth. He climbed five spots on the leaderboard with his Tuesday performance on the 6,685-yard Paris Landing State Park Golf Course.

Freshman
Luke Wells tied for tenth at four-over 220 after shooting 77 Tuesday. His four-under 68 in the second round was the best round of his young Butler career. Â

Patrick Allgeier was one shot back of Wells at 221 (+5), tying for 13
th. He shot 76 Tuesday. Allgeier had a pair of eagles in the second round Monday.

Michael Tanaka tied for 23rd at 224 (+8), carding a 75 Tuesday.
Raymond Sullivan finished tied for 42nd at 232 (+16).

Sophomore
Stephen Kocerha, playing in his first Butler event after transferring into the program over the summer, and
Nick Williams tied for 39
th at 231 (+15).
Michael Denner was three shots behind them (234; +18), tying for 47
th. All three joined Sabins in playing as individuals.

The Bulldogs return to action in two weeks, traveling to the Georgetown Intercollegiate Oct. 14-15.
