Katie Soderstrom each earned spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Awards list as announced by the conference office on Monday, Oct. 14.

Rodriguez was named Goalkeeper of the Week and Soderstrom was tabbed Offensive Player of the Week after the Bulldogs went 2-0 in conference play.

Rodriguez earned a pair of shutout victories last week to bring her season tally up to a BIG EAST-best six. The junior made five saves in an overtime win at Creighton on Thursday before stopping three shots in a 1-0 home win over St. John's on Sunday.

Rodriguez has played every minute in goal for the Bulldogs in 2019, collecting 45 total saves. She has earned a spot on two weekly honor roll lists so far this season.

Soderstrom showed some late-game heroics in the undefeated week for the Bulldogs. The sophomore scored the golden goal in the 93
rd minute against the Bluejays to break the scoreless draw, while notching the game-winning goal against the Red Storm in the 78
th minute.

Her three game-winning goals on the year are tied for the BIG EAST lead, while her seven goals list fourth.

This is Soderstrom's second BIG EAST award this season. She earned offensive player laurels for the first week of play after posting two goals and two assists for the Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs move to 8-4-2 (3-1-1) after the wins over Creighton and St. John's. The two wins also maintain the Bulldogs' spot at No. 2 in the BIG EAST season standings.Â
