The Bulldogs captured the Dayton Fall Invitational title Tuesday in Kettering, Ohio, holding off a group of hard-charging teams.

Butler brought a one-stroke advantage into Tuesday's final round, and was able to come away with a three-stroke victory over the host Flyers and the University of Findlay. Illinois State was the team who was one shot behind the Bulldogs after Monday's first 18 holes, but the Redbirds faded to fourth.

Junior
Ally Ross tied for third individually, matching her Monday round with another three-over 73 Tuesday on the 5,800-yard NCR Country Club north course. She finished at 146 (+6). Sofia Seldemirova of Ohio State won the event at 143 (+3). She shot 69 Tuesday. Ross's round of 73 tied for the second-best score Tuesday.

The field featured 14 teams. The Bulldogs shot 305 Tuesday after their opening-round 300 to finish at 605 (+45). Dayton posted the best score Tuesday at 297, which allowed the host Flyers to climb into a tie for second at 608 (+48).

Megan Skoog and
Claire Edwards finished in a tie for fifth at 150 (+10). Skoog shot 74 Tuesday after opening with a round of 76. Edwards had rounds of 73 and 77.

Katelyn Le posted rounds of 78 and 81 to finish at 159 (+19) and in a tie for 38
th. The fifth scoring Bulldog was
Janisa Bondoc at 162 (+22). Her rounds of 79 and 83 put her in a tie for 46
th.

Freshman
Avery VonDielingen, playing as an individual, shot 77 Tuesday after an opening-round 85. She finished tied with Bondoc for 46
th in the 84-player field.

The Bulldogs finish off the fall portion of their schedule next week at the Charles Braun, Jr. Intercollegiate. The event, hosted by Evansville, will be played Monday and Tuesday in Newburgh, Ind.
