The Bulldogs will play in their only home event of the fall, welcoming eight teams to Highland Golf and Country Club for the 2019 Butler Fall Invitational.
Â
The teams will play 36 holes Monday, followed by a final 18 on Tuesday. Both days feature a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
Â
Butler will be joined in the field by Chicago State, Evansville, Indiana State, Indiana, Lipscomb, Loyola (Chicago), Marian, and Western Illinois.
Â
Highland, which serves as the home course for both Butler's men's and women's programs, will be set up as a par-70 at 5,860 yards.
Â
Coach Christie Cates will determine her line-up over the weekend, but all 10 Bulldogs on the 2019-20 roster will compete in the event.
Â
The Bulldogs won the 2018 event behind medalist
Lauren Tibbets. The recent graduate won the event as a freshman in 2015 and as a senior last season. Indiana State (finishing second), Evansville, Chicago State, and Marian were also part of the 2018 field.
Â
Ally Ross and
Nicole Jordan tied for tenth at the 2018 Fall Invitational.
Â
Ross enters the 2019 edition of the event fresh off a T3 finish at the MVC Fall Preview. She shot an even-par 72 in the second round of the 54-hole event, which matched the Spirit Hollow course record. Butler finished sixth in the 15-team field.
