Katelyn Le and
Ally Ross took the top two spots at the 2019 Butler Fall Invitational, highlighting a strong Bulldog effort on the team's home Highland course.

The Bulldogs finished second among the eight-team field.

Le posted a two-over 72 in Tuesday's final round, which was the low score of the day. She and Ross both entered the day one shot off the lead. Le finished the 54-hole event at 221 (+11), which was two shots ahead of her teammate Ross, who carded a 74 Tuesday for a total of 223 (+13).

Lipscomb's Rachael McMahan finished third at 224 (+14). She also shot a 74 Tuesday. Three golfers shared a one-shot lead after 36 holes, but those three shot 77, 77, and 78 Tuesday to drop down the leaderboard.

Lipscomb and Butler each shot 302 as a team Tuesday, which allowed the Bisons to maintain the nine-stroke lead they entered the day with. Lipscomb finished at 905 (+65), ahead of Butler (914; +74) and third-place Indiana State (925; +85). Lipscomb benefitted most from Monday's second round, carding a team total of 293, easily the best mark of the tournament.

Megan Skoog tied for 17
th in the 51-player field at 234 (+24). She shot 79 Tuesday. With a 77 in the final round,
Claire Edwards climbed a few spots on the leaderboard to finish in a tie for 24
th (239; +29). Freshman
Emma Kelly tied for 27
th at 242 (+32).

Janisa Bondoc, playing as an individual, carded a five-over 75 Tuesday after a pair of 77s Monday. She tied for tenth at 229 (+19).

Four other Bulldogs joined Bondoc as individuals for the event. Freshman
Avery VonDielingen placed 19
th at 235 (+25) after shooting 77 Tuesday. Senior
Betsy Werner had her best round of the tournament Tuesday, carding a 74 to climb to 20
th at 236 (+26).
Lexy Stuckey (244, +34) and
Nicole Jordan (247; +37) finished tied for 33
rd and 40
th, respectively.
