KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Redshirt-senior Annika Schmidt has been recognized as a Third Team Scholar All-American by United Soccer Coaches. She earned First Team Scholar All-Region honors earlier this week with a 3.98 GPA as a sports media major.
 
Schmidt caps off a brilliant career at Butler with accomplishments both on and off the field. She was a three-time First Team All-BIG EAST selection as one of the top defenders on the BU roster. In the classroom, Schmidt was tabbed Second Team Academic All-Region and All-District in 2018.
 
Schmidt started in 53 off 55 matches during her three-year career on campus and scored five goals to go along with two assists for 12 points. The Bulldogs also posted 34 shutouts from 2017-19.
