Day 3 Results
EAST MEADOW, N.Y. – The Bulldogs passed Providence in the team standings at the 2019 BIG EAST Swimming and Diving Championships presented by Jeep. BU has 159 points heading into the final day of competition.
Annah Van Gheem won the B Final in the 100 Fly with a new school record time of 56.81. Van Gheem was also part of the 400 Medley Relay team that placed fifth overall with a time of 3:51.91.

Emma Spotts and
Tori Horton joined her in the pool to post the second fastest time in BU history.
Spotts was excellent for BU in the 100 Breaststroke. She was the BIG EAST runner-up in the event, clocking a time of 1:03.99. Teammate
Natalie Rohweder placed second in the B Final of the 100 Breast (1:05.52) and
Carson Middlebrook ended in eighth (1:07.87).
In the 100 Back, Horton placed sixth in the B Final with a time of 58.06 and Hanson placed seventh at 59.06.
The final day of the championships include the 200 backstroke, 100 freestyle, 200 breaststroke, 200 butterfly and 400 freestyle relay. Preliminary swims will begin at 10 a.m. ET with women's 1-meter prelims starting at noon. The first heats of the timed finals of the 1,650 freestyle will start at 3:30 p.m. Finals for the remaining events are set for 6 p.m. with the senior recognition ceremony scheduled for 5:35 p.m.
