After 18 holes at the Indiana State Spring Invitational, the Bulldogs stand alone in third place among the 13-team field. The tournament concludes Monday with another 18 holes.
Senior
Lauren Tibbets led the Bulldogs Sunday, firing an even-par 72 on the 6,041-yard Country Club of Terre Haute course. She is tied for sixth in the 77-player field.
Megan Skoog is one shot behind her teammate after shooting 73 Sunday. She is tied for ninth.
As a team, Butler shot an even 300 to stand in third after the first round. Youngstown State has the team lead at 285, followed by California Baptist (291) and Butler. The Bulldogs have a two-shot lead over Loyola entering Monday's play.
Katelyn Le (77; T25) was Butler's third finisher, followed by
Ally Ross and
Claire Edwards, who each shot six-over 78 for a T37 position.
Allison Kinsinger, playing as an individual, tied Le with a five-over 77.
Youngstown State's Katlyn Shutt holds the individual lead at 69 (-3). She has a two-shot advantage after 18 of the 36 holes.
The final 18 holes feature a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start Monday morning.
